The # sign in front of the "Iwo Jima Class" just means a comment - if you want to use comments in this file, you do so by using the # key. You have to edit the input.map file for this to work. Using the odf command (hotkeyLabel = "HOTKEY_F1") for a new ship or station or weapon you put in the game is not enough - this means even if you show the hotkey label in your odf file, that doesn't mean you can use F1 to build it. It may mean a lot for those who want to use hotkeys in the game.
